The 2012 XK: Racer at Heart
Jaguar sports cars have long had a reputation for blending athletic high-performance engineering with effortless cruising comfort. Nothing exemplifies this dual character more clearly than the 5.0-liter AJ-V8 engine in the XK.
Now in its third generation, the AJ-V8 engine offers tremendous power and great efficiency by incorporating the very latest technology, including spray-guided direct injection (SGDI) and dual independent variable cam timing (DIVCT). Like the car itself, the engine is constructed from highgrade, lightweight aluminum. Even the cylinder heads are made from recycled aluminum to reduce the environmental impact of production.
The 2012 Jaguar XK range receives elegant and aggressive styling changes reflective of the new Jaguar design language. Integrated LED signature running lights provide a bold and modern look to the car’s already distinctive front end, complementing the elegant new grille and side power vents.
Further personalization can be made to both the car’s performance and look through a series of options packages. New interior options allow the discerning driver to emphasize both the luxury and performance aspects of the XK model. A thrilling new pinnacle model, the 550 horsepower XKR-S coupe is capable of 186mph and 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds.
